“God will not be outdone in generosity.”
That’s what Meg said when she told me how this farm came to her family. After years of dreaming about land and searching for the right place, she and her husband, Chris, decided to buckle down and make a plan for this dream to become reality.
And then God happened.
In a series of crazy “this can only be the Holy Spirit” moments, the family sold their house, bought their farm, and, excuse the cliche, they’re living their dream. In the span of five months. FIVE MONTHS. If that doesn’t give you whiplash…
I reached out to Meg over the summer to see if I might come out and document the changing of the seasons on their property. This first year of exploring their land, soaking in the abundance of summer, dreaming about what’s next—cows, pigs, goats, a smokehouse—it is truly a gift to watch it all unfold! Don’t you kind of want to be Meg and Chris when you grow up? I do. It is truly an honor to walk alongside them this year and document this chapter of their story.
Meg and Chris – thank you for trusting in God and going after your dreams. It’s inspiring to the rest of us.
I photograph your favorite moments, with your favorite people, one story at a time. My name is Caitlin, and I'm so glad you're here.
