Tom + Molly | Black Sheep Winery, OH

When Tom first called me about photographing his proposal, I knew two things: 1) Here was a man who was totally, hopelessly, and irrevocably in love. 2) He had the outlines of a plan, but I sensed the plan didn’t matter all that much.

And isn’t that beautiful?

Isn’t that willingness and ability to be truly present with the person you love most, the greatest gift you can give? Because ultimately, our plans doesn’t matter. Our people do. And Tom’s gift of being completely present with Molly, to promise her forever and then surround her with all her favorite people—that’s beautiful. That’s a story worth telling.

Tom + Molly—thank you for allowing me to document the beginning of your forever. There were so many moments I could sense your love for each other and your families, and it was truly an honor to be there. From the beautiful book of letters you wrote, Tom, to the way you cried when you saw your sister, Molly—the love surrounding you was an absolute joy to photograph. You two are such a delight, and I’ll be offering up so many prayers for you as you prepare for your big day.
