Spring always brings light and hope and joy and just the faintest bit of warmth here in the Ohio Valley. My husband and I start our flower seeds with the boys, excited about all the beauty that will come in the garden in a few months. But this year, that hope and joy, that light—they feel imperative. They feel inherently necessary amidst the heaviness in the news, amidst all this isolation.
I consumed way too much news when all this started. And the stories that always seemed front and center were tragic. I craved the good news. I craved the stories of selflessness, the stories of grace, the stories that gave me hope. And then suddenly, I realized I wanted to help. I wanted to be part of that goodness that can always be found in the hardest of times. And then I got a text from a friend about a photographer near her who was offering porch sessions, and a lightbulb went off. Here was a way I could help. Here was a way I could serve people in our area who needed a bit of light and hope and joy.
And so, Porch Sessions were born.
I can’t wait to serve all of you who have reached out to book a session with me. I promise to capture your joy, your hope, and bring a little more light back into the world.
Can’t wait,
C
I photograph your favorite moments, with your favorite people, one story at a time. My name is Caitlin, and I'm so glad you're here.
