St. Hilaire Family | Steubenville, OH

This family is pretty special, ya’ll. They were so easy to photograph. The love and ease and quiet assuredness of them made my job effortless. And that love and ease has been hard earned. Jenna and Lou waited for their precious girl for a very long time. And while I’m sure the waiting was fraught with hardship and struggle, the light in their eyes as they look at Julie is overwhelming. All parents love their children, but there’s an extra sweetness when a child has been prayed and hoped for, for so long. Julie is an answered prayer. She is a joy to be around, and I am so honored that Lou and Jenna invited me to capture that joy for them.
