Seventeen years later, and Mike is still the soft spoken, gentle soul with the bright green eyes, and Hilary is still the warm, joyful person you can’t help but want to be friends with. A little over a year ago, they welcomed baby Zoe into their family and I just couldn’t handle the cute, y’all. I mean, seriously. Those pigtails though.

Mike and Hilary, it was an absolute gift to see you two again. Zoe is precious, and I am so, so glad I got to catch up with you. Let’s make sure it doesn’t take us another decade to see each other again, yes?
